Raising Children Who No Longer Fear The Dentist

At Bayfield Dental We Make Children’s Dentistry Fun And Non-Threatening, Even In The Most Challenging Circumstances, With The Purpose Of Developing Children Not To Fear Dental Treatment.

Bayfield Dental has always had a special focus on Children’s Dentistry, providing a highly personalised introduction to your child's first dental encounter. We appreciate that the right care at the right time can make a big difference to how your child views dental treatment.

Working in collaboration with our dentists for the care of your child, is Liz Smith, our Dental Therapist. She is very experienced and has been caring for the dental needs of children in Tasmania for over 25 years. Her gentle and caring nature is ideal for your child’s first dental visit.

At Bayfield Dental we make children’s dentistry fun and Non-threatening, even in challenging circumstances, with the purpose of developing children not to fear dental treatment. We recommend regular dental visits for your child. This enables early detection of dental problems and the prompt commencement of treatment.

It also enables early investigation of potential problems followed by the implementation of preventative measures. Regular visits also allow for detection and the appropriate timing for referral to an orthodontist for crooked teeth. At Bayfield Dental we believe that good oral habits should be reinforced at a young age to prevent early dental decay and to set your child on the pathway to good dental health.

Studies have shown that the earlier your child's first dental visit, the less dental treatment they will require in life.
