Types of Sedation
Nitrous Oxide (happy gas)
Intravenous Sedation
General Anaesthesia
We understand that dental treatment can be a stressful experience for some patients. At Bayfield Dental we strive to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Our dentists are gentle and care about the wellbeing of every patient, young or old. If needed, we can provide sedation therapy to help our patients feel more relaxed and comfortable during their dental treatment.
At Bayfield Dental we can provide our patients with different types of sleep dentistry which involve differing levels of sedation.
For more complex restorative cases or surgical procedures such as the removal of wisdom teeth, we can provide treatment under general anaesthesia in a Hospital or Day Surgery Clinic. For those patients who prefer not to have general anaesthesia for their treatment, we offer intravenous sedation which is a lighter form of sedation performed in our specially equipped dental surgery.
We use specialist anaesthetists and registered nurses to provide patients with only the best care during and after these procedures.
