Our Practice
Bayfield Dental has been established for over 30 years. The practice was founded by Dr David Peters and began as a single surgery practice in Rosny. Over the years, the dental practice has cared for the needs of several generations of the same family. These patients have developed a strong bond with the practice and they have become part of the "Bayfield Dental family".
Bayfield Dental has now expanded to include two locations the original in Bayfield Street, Rosny and our new location at Victoria Street, Hobart. The Victoria Street location was established when Dr Jeff Mount sold his quality dental practice due to his retirement. The Victoria Street practice therefore has embraced many of the philosophies of Dr Jeff Mount’s practice and combined them with our underlying Bayfield Dental practice principles.
Both practices offer experienced dentists whose primary goal is to provide our patients with the highest quality dental care in a friendly and caring environment. Our speciality is clear communication and explanation so that you understand what is going on in your mouth and so that you can make informed decisions about your dental health.

We pride ourselves on our professionalism and ethics and our care philosophy is that the patients’ needs are paramount. Our aim is to provide the highest quality of dental treatment in a caring, safe and non-threatening environment.
Once you have joined the practice we are committed to your dental health and needs.
As a commitment to our patients, a dentist from the practice is always available for after-hours emergencies. In addition, we operate an appointment system whereby all emergencies will be attended to within 24 hours.
Our commitment to our patients is further demonstrated by having dental specialists visit the practice to provide care beyond the treatment capabilities of our general dentists, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
